2021 Triumph Speed Twin Launched At Rs 10.99 Lakh

Triumph has launched the new iteration of the Speed Twin in the Indian market at Rs 10,99,000 (ex-showroom). The modern-classic power roadster now complies with the stricter BS6 emissions norms and gets several other upgrades too.

2021 Triumph Speed Twin – What's New?

The most crucial update for the new Triumph Speed Twin is the BS6 upgraded 1200cc High Power Bonneville parallel-twin motor that now features a new alternator, lightweight crankshaft, high-compression pistons, revised intake system, and new stainless steel brushed twin exhausts. With all these changes, it now makes a maximum power of 100PS at 7250rpm along with a peak torque of 112Nm at 4250rpm. That's 3PS more than the previous model, and even the peak torque hits at 500rpm before.

Furthermore, the new Speed Twin comes with updated components that beckon for better handling. That said, it comes with a new 43mm Marzocchi inverted front forks (USD) with cartridge damping, new lightweight 12-spoke alloy covered in grippy Metzeler Racetec RR tires (replacing the older Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires), and a new set of Brembo M50 four-piston monobloc calipers clamping down the twin 320mm front disc brakes. Besides, it also gets anodized headlight mounts, new mudguard mounts, sportier graphics, and a slightly increased seat height (+2mm than before).

2021 Triumph Speed Twin – Features

The features list of this British motorcycle remains unchanged. It will continue to get the LED lighting with DRLs, a twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster, flat seat, torque-assist clutch, three ride modes (Road, Rain, Sport), ABS, and switchable traction control.

2021 Triumph Speed Twin – Colors

Triumph has offered the new Speed Twin in three colors: Matte Storm Grey, Korosi Red, and Jet Black.

2021 Triumph Speed Twin – Rivals

The new Triumph Speed Twin could be seen as an alternative to the Ducati Scrambler 1100, which currently ranges between Rs 10.99 – 13.74 lakh (ex-showroom).
