2021 Tata Safari In Now Available In Nepal

Tata Motors has launched the new-gen Safari in February 2021 for the Indian market. Now, the brand has started offering the three-row SUV in Nepal in partnership with Sipradi Trading at starting price of NPR 81.99 lakh (approximately INR 51 lakh).

In Nepal, the Tata Safari is available in three color options (blue, white, and grey) and a total of nine trims starting from the XE variant and going up to the XZA+ variant. The Indian carmaker has also offered the Safari Adventure Persona Edition in our neighboring country.  

Based on the OMEGA-ARC platform, the 2021 Tata Safari is essentially a 6/7-seater version of the Harrier SUV. Having said that, the Safari shares its styling cues and mechanical with the 5-seater Tata Harrier. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that belts out 170PS and 350Nm of peak output, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

In terms of features, the flagship Tata offering gets 18-inch alloy wheels, HID xenon automatic LED projector headlamps, dual-function LED DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, iRA connected car tech, Apple Carplay, and Android Auto, auto AC with rear AC vents, cruise control, a 7-inch colored semi-digital instrument display, powered driver seat, panoramic sunroof, multiple driving modes and much more. Its safety kit comprises up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, rear parking sensors with camera, hill hold, hill descent control, ISOFIX anchorages, etc. 

In India, the Tata Safari is currently priced from Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 22.01 lakh (ex-showroom), rivaling the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700
