 Range Rover Velar features

Starting with features, the new Ranger Rover Velar gets Jaguar Land Rover’s latest Pivi Pro Infotainment setup, which comprises two 10-inches screen touch displays placed one below another. While the top screen is assigned to infotainment, the lower display is intended for climate control functions. It features a host of advanced techs like artificial intelligence, a new navigation system with real-time traffic information, and over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Other notable additions to the new Velar include a 360-degree camera, cabin air ionization with a PM2.5 filter, inactive road noise cancellation, and an electronic air suspension setup, which will assist in improving the overall driving experience.

Besides, it continues to get features like 20-inch alloy wheels, four-zone climate control, a 12-speaker premium Meridian sound system, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto connectivity, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Head-up display (HUD), 14-way adjustable front seats with memory function for the driver seat, ambient lighting, and leather upholstery.

Moving to the mechanicals, the 2021 Velar gets a more powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with mild-hybrid technology, which is capable of putting out 204PS of maximum power (up from 180PS) and 430Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the petrol engine is the same 2.0-liter turbocharged unit as the previous model that makes 250PS and 365Nm. Both engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels.

In the Indian market, the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Velar will continue to fight with the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe (Rs 77.24 lakh-1.25 Cr), BMW X6 (Rs 76.50-88.00 lakh), Porsche Macan (Rs 69.98-83.95 lakh), and the recently launched Jaguar F-Pace facelift (Rs 69.99 lakh).
