2021 Bajaj Pulsar 180 Launched At Rs 1.08 Lakh

After being spotted at an authorized dealership, Bajaj Auto has now finally relaunched the Pulsar 180 in the naked avatar, priced at Rs 1,07,904 (ex-showroom Delhi). Compared to its semi-fairing Pulsar 180F (Rs 1,14,003), it is Rs 6,611 more affordable.

Bajaj Pulsar 180 specifications

The 2021 Pulsar 180 is powered by the same BS6 compliant SOHC 178.6cc air-cooled engine as the Pulsar 180F that generates 17.02PS at 8500rpm and 14.52Nm at 6500rpm. The motor comes paired with a 5-speed transmission.

In terms of design, the new Pulsar 180 looks similar to the older generation model. The bikemaker hasn't changed the bodywork of the bike. It features a halogen headlamp with DRLs, bulb-type indicators, LED tail lamp, a tinted front visor, bikini fairing, sporty grab rails, 15-liter fuel tank, and a semi-digital instrument cluster that comprises an analog tachometer and an LCD screen that shows fuel level, speed, odometer, and trip meter.

The underpinnings of the bike have also been retained the same. It comes equipped with a telescopic front fork and twin 5-step adjustable gas-charged rear shock absorbers. A 280mm front and 230mm rear disc setup does its duty to bring the bike to the halt. It comes with a single-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS) as standard. Owing to the smaller bikini fairing, the curb weight of the bike is 5kg less than the Pulsar 180F, tipping the scale at 151kg. The wheelbase (1,345mm) is also 5mm less than its semi-faired counterpart.

Bajaj Pulsar 180 price

The reintroduction of the Pulsar 180 could affect the sales of the Pulsar 150 Twin Disc variant, which is priced at Rs 1,04,979 (ex-showroom). For the price difference of just Rs 2,925, buyers can get a more powerful engine with a similar kind of styling. Talking about its rivals, the 2021 Pulsar 180 is positioned against the TVS Apache RTR 180 (Rs 1.08 lakh).
