2021 Audi A4 Launch Date Revealed

Audi will be launching the facelift version of the A4 luxury sedan on 5th January 2021. Bookings of the updated model have already been started for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. Interestingly, the brand is also offering an additional 4-year comprehensive service package on all pre-launch bookings.

2021 Audi A4 sedan: How will it be different from the previous model? 

The Audi A4 has undergone noticeable cosmetic upgrades to differentiate its styling from the previous model, which was discontinued the implementation of BS6 emission norms. The major changes have been made to its front-end, giving the sedan an imposing look. The highlights include a redesigned front grille, new LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), and tweaked bumpers. It also features revised alloys and a taillamp design. 

Audi has also tweaked the interior a bit. It features a new 10.1-inch free-standing MMI touchscreen infotainment screen with connected car technology. Other notable features of the new A4 sedan includes Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument console, tri-zone climate control, Bang and Olufsen sound system, an electric sunroof, cruise control, electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lightings, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitor system, etc. 

Underneath the bonnet, the 2021 Audi A4 will get its biggest change as it will house a new & more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, which replaces the older 1.4-liter turbo-petrol unit. This new gasoline mill can develop a maximum output of 190PS, which is 40PS more than the 1.4-liter motor. There will be no diesel engine on offer.

Transmission duties will be handled by a 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox that transmits power to the front wheels.

Variants & Expected Pricing

Production of the updated Audi A4 has already started at company’s Aurangabad (Maharashtra) based plant. It is likely to be offered in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology. In terms of pricing, it could bear an ex-showroom tag of around Rs 40-42 lakh. Once launched, it will lock horns with BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Jaguar XE.
