2020 Mahindra Thar Gets More Customisable Accessories

The second-generation Mahindra Thar is getting a lot of attention from buyers since its launch on 2nd October 2020. It’s a feature-loaded off-roader. Mahindra is also offering a long list of official accessories so that customers can personalize Thar as per their preferences. Now, Mahindra has added some more accessories to Thar’s official list.

This new set of accessories includes both functional as well as aesthetic add-ons. But among all, the new red & olive-green interior kits are the most important add-ons that could enhance the interior charm. The notable bits of these interior themes comprise red/green color accents on AC vents, dashboard, doors, cup holders, and seat cover.

The other essential accessories are a radiator guard, which will be helpful for its radiator protection in hardcore off-roading conditions, whereas the seatback organizer can improve the cabin utility, especially if you travel with your family. The rear number plate & spare wheel camera mount is a mounting accessory for the camera.

Besides this, Mahindra also offers various other accessories, which are classified into Styling, Comfort & Convenience, Technology, Safety, Vehicle Protection, Camping, Maintenance, Appeal, and Adventure Cameras. The highlight of these categories includes Dark Lord/Intense Chrome pack, body graphics, body cladding, a different type of alloy wheels, side steps different types of floor mats, seat cover, adventure cameras & their various mounting kits, audio system, speakers, rear camera, camping & off-roading tools such as roof tent kit, bag packs, folding chairs, air compressor, and various tools. In the other news, Mahindra has removed Thar’s base-specs AX STD & AX variants from its official website. Currently, the 2020 Thar is only available in AX(O) and LX trims, which are priced from Rs 11.90 lakh and Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra will soon re-introduce entry-level trims (AX STD & AX) with forward-facing rear seats, knowing the fact that the model with front-facing rear seats has secured 4-star in NCAP crash test. The brand will also increase Thar’s prices pretty soon.

Currently, in the Indian market, Mahindra Thar has no direct rival. But in near future, it will face a straight fight from next-gen Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
