150 Units of Kia EV6 Deliveried So Far
Kia India commenced deliveries of the EV6 last month and around 152 units of the electrified crossover have been handed over to its customers so far. The remaining units will be delivered in the near future.
For those who aren’t aware, the Kia EV6 was supposed to be offered in 100 units only; however, due to high numbers of pre-launch bookings, the brand decided to increase the planned deliveries by 3.5 times.
Based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the Kia EV6 comes in two drivetrain options: rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD), both mated to a 77.4kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack that claims over 500 kilometres of drive range on a single charge. Speaking of the specifications, the RWD variant gets a single motor that makes 229PS and 350Nm, while the AWD trim gets a dual-motor setup delivering a combined output of 325PS and 605Nm.
Speaking of the charging capabilities, the Kia EV6 can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes via ultra-fast DC charging of up to 350kW. However, a 50kW DC charger will take approximately 1 hour and 13 minutes for the same.
Hyundai Motors is also expected to unveil the IONIQ 5 electric SUV this month which will also be based on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) as the Kia EV6. Click here for more details.
