Skoda Kushaq 1.5-litre TSI Model Could Get More Affordable In Near Future

Launched on 28th June 2021, the Skoda Kushaq is drawing a decent number of sales for the Czech automaker. Currently, the SUV is available in three trims: Active, Ambition, and Style. While all the variants are available with the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, only the top-spec Style trim comes with an optional 1.5-litre TSI unit. But now, it has been reported that Skoda Kushaq's mid-spec Ambition trim could also get the 1.5-litre turbo engine, with both 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch automatic) gearbox choices in the near future.

For reference, the top-spec Style 1.5-litre TSI trim is currently priced at Rs 16.20 lakh for manual and Rs 17.60 lakh for DSG model (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi). They command a premium of up to Rs 1.6 lakh over their respective 1.0-litre variants. Expect similar variation for both the engine options on the Ambition variant as well.

Currently, the Skoda Kushaq Ambition is priced between Rs 12.79 lakh to Rs 14.19 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with all the striking features that the majority of customers desire. These include crystalline LED headlamps with DRLs, fog lamps with cornering function, 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-tone interior, a 10.1-inch infotainment system with connected car technology, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto climate control, rear AC vents, cruise control, ambient lighting, paddle shifters (automatic variant only), cooled glovebox, height-adjustable driver's seat, dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, rear wiper & washer, hill hold control, Multi Collision Braking (MCB), Electronic Differential Locking System (EDS), Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) with Motor Slip Regulation (MSR), Roll-Over Protection (ROP), brake disc wiping, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and rear parking sensors with camera.
