Here Listen To The Exhaust Sound Of The Upcoming 650cc Royal Enfield Cruiser

Royal Enfield has launched the Meteor 350 in November 2020, and for 2021, its first product will be the new iteration of Himalayan ADV, which is set to be launched tomorrow. However, the story won't stop here as the Chennai-based manufacturer is also working on several other new motorcycles, including the all-new Classic 350, Hunter (Interceptor 350), and the 650cc cruiser motorcycle. Recently, a spy video of the upcoming Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser has surfaced online, revealing quite a few things about the motorcycle and its exhaust sound: –

Royal Enfield enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the upcoming RE cruiser's exhaust thump is somewhat similar to the Interceptor 650, however, its beats are a bit louder.

Talking about the design, it will feature a round headlamp & round side indicators, a clear windscreen, a huge teardrop tank, and raked-out front forks, which are connected to a broad handlebar. The seat height is low and the footpegs have been positioned forward, making it highway-friendly. There’s also a pillion seat backrest for enhanced comfort and a small luggage rack at the back for added convenience.

The rear of the bike looks splendid thanks to the dual low-slung exhaust setup. However, its high mounted round taillamp and round indicators positioned just above the number plate will remind you of the Meteor 350

The braking system consists of disc brakes at both ends, and it is likely to come equipped with a dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System. Rear suspension duties will be handled by twin-gas charged show absorbers.

As far as the powertrain is concerned, the new 650cc Royal Enfield cruiser is likely to come with the same engine as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. For the people not in know, these twins come with 648cc parallel-twin air-cooled (with oil cooler) motor, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. This engine makes 47.6PS and 52Nm.

While the official launch date is yet to be revealed, it is likely to be available for sale from mid-2021. Prices of this upcoming cruiser are expected to begin from around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
