Maruti Alto K10 Finally Made A Comeback In All-New Avatar

  • Alto K10 finally made a comeback.

After being discontinued during the BS6 transition phase in 2020; Maruti Suzuki’s highly popular hatchback, the Alto K10 has now officially made a comeback in an all-new avatar. Available in four broad trims (Std, LXi, VXi, and VXi+), the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is priced between Rs 3.99 lakh to Rs 5.83 lakh (ex-showroom). Here’s a look at its detailed prices: –

Maruti Alto K10: Design, Dimension, and Features

The all-new Maruti Alto K10 is based on Suzuki’s Heartect platform that also underpins the S-Presso and Celerio, and so it is bigger than the ongoing Alto 800. Here’s how it fares against its younger sibling: –

2022 New Alto K10 price and specs

Borrowing its design cues from the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, the new Alto K10 has a curvier silhouette. Upfront, it gets a sleek facia with a wide hexagonal mesh pattern grille and large sweptback halogen headlamps. At the back, it has an upright tailgate flanked by wraparound bulb-type tail lamps.

Inside, the new hatchback sports an uncluttered dashboard layout, wrapped in an all-black theme with a contrasting silver accent. Features highlights include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration support, digitized instrument cluster, remote keyless entry, manual AC, front power windows and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. 

Passenger safety is ensured by dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, speed alert, seat belt reminder, speed-sensing auto door lock, and rear parking sensors.

Maruti Alto K10: Accessories

Maruti Suzuki is also offering two pre-defined accessories packs with the new Alto K10: Glinto and Impacto. In contrast with the former, which adds chrome-finished elements to the exterior, the latter adds subtle sporty elements to the hatch for a more dynamic look.

Engine and Transmission

At the heart of the new-gen Alto K10 is a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, DualJet K10C petrol engine that also powers the S-Presso, Celerio, and lower variants of WagonR. Paired to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission, it makes 67PS and 89Nm.

Maruti claims that the 2022 Alto K10 offers an impressive fuel economy of up to 24.9kmpl (ARAI-claimed).
