Mahindra XUV700 To Get A New Smart Pack For AX7 Variant

The all-new Mahindra XUV700 has received immediate success in the Indian market. More than 70,000 units of the SUV have been booked so far. Its huge success can be attributed to its aggressive pricing, magnificent design, and feature-packed cabin. Currently, it is available in four trims: MX, AX3, AX5, and AX7, with the latter getting an optional Luxury package at some additional cost. Now, the automaker is all set to introduce a new Smart Pack with the AX7 that will be positioned below the AX7 Luxury trim.

According to a leaked document, the AX7 Smart variant will get a twin-screen setup for infotainment and driver's display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, 12-speakers Sony 3D sound system, in-built Alexa integration, cruise control, dual-zone climate control (AC), a panoramic sunroof, smart door handles (manual), a 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat with memory function, auto LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, leather seats, auto-levelling headlamps, personalized safety alerts, 6-airbags, 360-degree parking camera, blind-view monitoring system, and much more.

Compared to the top-spec AX7 Luxury Pack variant, this new trim will miss out on features like Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), driver-side knee airbag, hill hold & descent assist, ESP, multiple driving modes, electronic parking brake, wireless smartphone charger, Driver Drowsiness Detection, and electric door handles with passive keyless entry.

The new trim is expected to come with both ongoing engine options – 200PS 2.0-liter turbo-petrol and a 185PS 2.2-liter diesel engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Compared to the top-spec diesel-automatic variant, it is unlikely to get the option of an AWD (all-wheel-drive) system.
