2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Mileage Details Revealed

Last month, Suzuki unveiled the new-generation Swift at the Japan Motor Show 2023 in Tokyo. It is expected to be launched in India in early 2024. But ahead of its arrival, its mileage details have been leaked.

As displayed in Japan, the 2024 Swift will be powered by a new Z-Series 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine, paired with a CVT automatic gearbox. Additionally, it will feature a mild-hybrid system, which is unlikely to be offered in India.

According to reports, the non-hybrid Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 is claimed to return a mileage of 23.40 kmpl, whereas its hybrid version will offer 24.50 kmpl, slightly higher than its current model. For reference, the existing version of the Indian-spec Maruti Suzuki Swift, powered by the 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, DualJet petrol engine, claims 22.38 kmpl mileage with manual and 22.56 kmpl with AMT.

The new-gen Suzuki Swift exhibits a slightly refreshed exterior. At the front, the latest iteration of the Swift boasts a flatter nose, highlighted by a reworked gloss-black rounded grille featuring a honeycomb mesh pattern. It also gets sharper projector LED headlamps with integrated DRLs. Notably, the positioning of the brand’s logo has also been changed from below the bonnet to above the grille.

The other notable exterior changes include: –

  • New bumpers with more prominent cuts & creases
  •  A more pronounced character line stretches across the width of the car
  • New alloy wheels
  • Updated rear door design with conventional handles
  • New taillights with a C-shaped motif

Baleno-Inspired Interior and Features

The 2024 Swift features a completely overhauled interior design, showcasing a new layered dashboard inspired by the Baleno, with a prominent 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system taking centre stage. Interestingly, the new Swift also features Advanced-Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
